To do this in Windows 10, simply copy and convert the .exe file into an .iso (using third-party software) and mount it by right clicking. Then click play with steam and the game will open. HOWEVER read the rest of the review before potentially wasting your money. The voice actors are different for Sam and his mom, so compared to the other Pajama Sam games, it throws you off to begin with. The writing for the in-game dialogue is very different from the previous games in that it explains much more of what is happening, rather than leaving things to be discovered by the player via context clues. In previous games, some of the things NPCs said were very satirical and not widely understood by a young mind, however you could still draw inferences based on context. In this game, it leaves little to the imagination of a child, which is a drag. The animation style is lacking compared to previous games. In previous games, the animation was consistent, and nearly every object in the fore- and background was clickable. If the objects had no animation, Sam would either say something about the object, or verbally divert your attention from it. If the objects did have animation, the art style was kept consistent from stationary to moving parts, and artistic borderlines were crisp. In this game, barely half of everything is clickable, and when it is, much of it seems quickly thrown together. Many of the animation borders are sloppy as well, for example, when searching for his cape, the clickable items were very clearly bright red, with black borders to show that they were options for the player to click on, but in the last room of the game, the menu that you're supposed to click on is a light beige/gray with no black border, and is very easy to overlook when scanning the room for a useful object. When Sam speaks, his mouth has only a handful of generic motions to portray words, which while common, distracts compared to other games because it seems as though his mouth was put in a cycle of motions, rather than those motions be tailored to the words he's actually saying. The singing dirty sock was weird. The click-boxes were also inconsistent, and poorly mapped out. For example, if I needed to click on a banana to advance the plot, only a portion of the banana might be clickable, or I might even have to click off the banana in order for it to register. It varied per item/circumstance/scene, but was annoying. The music itself that was in the game was fine, some of it even great. I didn't really like how it would carry over from one zone to another though. For instance, in previous games, if the music was different from one zone to the next, the music would change as soon as Sam entered the next zone. In this game, music would carry over from one zone to the next, sometimes for as long as 3 or 4 extra zones, which was slightly disorienting. The overall game-play was okay at best, and there were not enough clues in game to get through without help froma guide at some points. I would give this game a 3/10. It seems like Lethal Weapon 4, or the Star Wars prequels; it was added to the legacy, riding on the coattails of its predecessors, but was really thrown together rather quickly with little to no regard for continuity or quality, and is riddled with plot holes, however it could still entertain you for a very small fraction of your life if you go into it with an open mind.. They changed Sam's voice actor...he sounds like a fat teenage girl now, not a little boy. It seriously ruins the game.I love this series, it is very dear to me, the previous 3 games hold up just fine but this is garbage. If you're nostalgic for the series like me and were curious about this newer version, stay away. The first 3 games are infinitly better, stick with them.. I love Pajama Sam, but this one is just unplayable.. TL;DR - Don't even buy this game for your kids. Animations feel rough and incomplete, Voice actors' enunciation is awfully unclear, especially Sam's VA for PJS4. Recording quality for different characters' voices is noticeably inconsistent. Dialogue sometimes seems inane, game environment is barely interactive, and click-zones to transition between areas is hard to aim at. Pajama Sam 4 is so inferior in quality to its predecessors that I couldn't bear to finish the game.Personally, my biggest gripe with 4 is the way it was "dumbed down". PJS 1 2 & 3 had a lot of subtle adult overtones and jokes which I hadn't even noticed when I played them as a 5 year old, but that didn't stop, confuse, or got in the way of me finishing or enjoying those titles back then. Replaying them now as a 25 year old is just as enjoyable, if not more so now that I've realized that all those overtones and jokes were in there the whole time. For example, in Pajama Sam 1, there's a particular trivia question that Sam might have to answer on some playthroughs (which are randomized per replay), something along the lines of "Which of these were the first reptiles to walk the earth?", to which the correct answer is "Dinosaurs", but alternatively you can choose to make Sam say "Bureaucrats", which I hadn't even stopped to think about as a kid, but now gives me the chuckles whenever I think about it. Also in PJS1, Sam befriends Otto, the hydrophobic anthropomorphic wooden rowboat. Sam helps Otto overcome his fear of drowning by tossing a small (non-living) wooden plank into a lake, demonstrating that wood floats in water. Otto thus rediscovers his joy of swimming and takes Sam "sailing". Unbeknownst to the duo, the wooden plank ironically sinks as soon as their backs are turned. Needless to say, I may have choked on my drink a little upon seeing the plank sink and realizing the implication. I sure didn't as a kid.I didn't finish playing PJS4, but I highly doubt I'd discover anything like this anywhere in there even if I had.. Every time I try to start this game it closes immediately, so I can't even play it.. I had to see it to believe how everyone disliked this game. I confirm it runs on windows 10 but it is terrible. Glitchy pauses dont bother with it!!! I made that mistake.. One word bloody horrible; compared to its past classic Pajama Sam games.
